Herbal medicine is offered alongside acupuncture or as a standalone service. Prescription costs vary depending on the complexity of your formula and the duration of the prescription.
| Service | Description | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Herbal consultation (standalone) | Full case history, Chinese medicine diagnosis, and initial herbal prescription for patients not receiving acupuncture | £55 |
| Herbal prescription (alongside acupuncture) | Personalised herbal formula prepared at or following your acupuncture appointment — no separate consultation fee | From £18 / week |
| Herbal prescription review (standalone) | Review and adjustment of your formula without an acupuncture session, for established patients | £25 |
| Granule / powder formulas | Concentrated herbal granules (dissolved in water) — convenient, flexible dosing. Price varies by formula complexity | From £18 / week |
| Patent pill formulas | Pre-prepared classical Chinese formulas for simpler, acute presentations | From £12 |
Herbal prescription costs are in addition to the acupuncture consultation fee and are priced separately, as the cost of your formula depends on the specific herbs required. Sue will always give you a clear indication of costs before prescribing.
